end of an era?
holy smokes!
On the agenda:
big week in business
future of the newsletter (again)
final 4 picks
Short and sweet, what can I say?
Busiest week of the new job so far.
Without even marketing our content marketing service like AT ALL, Streamline Media has locked in just about 10K MRR.
Non-profit leaders, D1 college coaches, successful business owners — all utilizing Streamline media to boost their reputation and trust online.
These are industry leaders who want to leverage their experience to grow their speaking business, their consulting business, their non-profits. We’re making it happen. It’s awesome.
We’ve just stumbled upon 5 great clients (even though we wanted to stay at just 3 this month), and it feels like we’re a powder keg about to explode.
Like as soon as we put just a tad more effort into this, we’ll have too much work on our hands - an awesome feeling.
THAT SAID - if you know anyone that you think…
has a story that needs to be shared and should write a book OR
has wisdom and experience to share with the world online but may not have the time or the ability to do social/newsletter marketing
Let. Me. Know. But maybe let me know at the end of April bc things are already getting crazy.
Kidding, let me know immediately.
I did some mock ups for what I think is about to happen.
I’ll give you all a sneak peek bc you’re my biggest fans u know?
Picture this:
A place where aspiring and experienced writers across all mediums can get inspired by experts in their craft.
I think that I (as a primarily short-form, entertainment-first, online writer) can learn a ton ABOUT WRITING from a songwriter, from a news columnist, from a comic strip writer, a novelist, etc.
I love to write. I love learning how others write, why others write, how they make a living writing. I love how all writing is so different, yet all writing serves a purpose in some sense.
Anyway, thinking I call it writer’s block. the idea is actually to help writers get OUT of their writer’s block.
less brain block, more block party u feel?
here are the branding mock ups via chat GPT:

I like this one the most tbh

a little too google-esque
Think about it — a community of writers who want to get better at writing through fun and engaging content and expert opinions.
I’ll curate great writing samples and pieces and songs and whatnot, offer my pish posh opinion, and viola, a new newsletter that might actually help people.
While initially low effort due to bandwidth, I’d love to interview writers, authors, musicians (and the like) to learn more about them and how they tick.
Think, David Perell, but far less sophisticated, less intelligent, lower quality writing on my part, BUT ALL THE MORE FUN YOU KNOW??.
And maybe a step deeper into the writer instead of the writing itself. Haven’t decided.
Final 4
Okay wifey is an auburn tiger, so there is part of me that wants them to win for her sake, but I’m not sure (as a Razorback fan) that I can handle the next few years of reminiscing if the tigers somehow pull this off.
My brother-in-law is the ONLY other non-tiger in the family, and he’s a roll tide guy. Don’t love that either, but at least we’re together on this. We would certainly endure jokes from the ole extended fam.
Plainly, I WANT Auburn/Houston.
I feel like Houston grinds all year, always has some a good team, and just can’t quite get it done.
But then of course, I don’t think Auburn has ever won one, and that’s be fun for them to solidify themselves as a basketball school (which they have been the last few years).
Anyway, all you can say is the committee got the 1 seeds right, and they made plays when it mattered despite a couple scares (maybe? I mean FL had a close one vs. UCONN, Houston close v Gonzaga at the end but not really the whole game).
So we’ll see. Rooting for Auburn, but I’ll take Florida + Houston, Houston squeaks it out.
Hot take, Houston clamps cooper flagg.
Maybe some day we’ll get the pigs back to the ship.

TO CONCLUDE!
Hey, please respond to this newsletter with 2 things…
Let me know of someone in your life (Parent, Mentor, Boss, etc) who you think should write a book. Streamline makes it happen and the team is just so good.
Did you like the newsletter, and would you still be interested if it took a turn toward writer’s block? That’s okay if no. Just lmk.
All love, team.
peace,
LM
